SwSupplier Diversity

Statement

The Supplier Diversity Initiative was implemented to enforce Rutgers' commitment to Diversity, by ensuring that minority and women owned enterprises (MWBEs) are included in our procurement process. Our initiative performs a key role by providing supplier diversity outreach and educational programs. The program forms a connecting link between the University, the small business, minority owned and women owned business community, as well as, state and federal agencies.

Mission

Rutgers University recognizes the importance of supplier diversity in our procurement practices. By creating sound business relationships, we strengthen economic development and viability for disadvantaged businesses while providing a value-added strategy that increases competition to ensure the Rutgers' funds are maximized.

Vision

To have the best-managed supplier diversity initiative, within Higher Education by having a great impact on the economic growth and viability of small, disadvantaged, minority, and woman-owned businesses.

Values

Through our daily activity, we ensure that MWBEs receive fair and equal opportunities to provide goods and services to Rutgers University.
